Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp is located close to The Strip, at 3485 West Harmon Ave. and on select days at Mandalay Bay.

Living rock and roll legend, Gene Simmons of Kiss, is teaming up with some of the other famous hard rock greats for what promises to be the greatest gift you could ever give to a heavy metal fan or band and you don’t even have to be able to play an instrument. For four glorious days, beginning on Thursday, March 27 through Sunday, March 30, 2014, The Great Simmons (we can’t call him any less than that) will be there with other veteran performers. They include Kiss’s lead guitarist, Tommy Thayer, Sebastian Bach, the heavy metal singer from Skid Row, Scott Ian, thrash metal guitarist for Anthrax, Dave Ellefson, bass player and founding member of Megadeth, and Steve Stevens, mega gifted guitarist for Billy Idol, who has played on recordings by such icons as Michael Jackson and Robert Palmer.

At the camp, you will receive intensive training and learn the ins and outs of the music business in a state of the art recording studio, along with songwriting techniques and the opportunity to jam and hobnob with megastars. If you own a guitar, you may want to bring it along or you can use the top-of-the-line musical instruments that will be provided. How does it work? You are placed in a band with other fantasy camp enrollees, and assigned a counselor and will attend classes. Counselors include members of Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, The Runaways, Stryper, Guns N’ Roses , Alice Cooper, Quiet Riot, and others. You get to participate in two live performances at the House of Blues, and write and record a song. The best part is that Ustream will be live streaming all events and performances so your family and friends can watch so you will be performing live in Las Vegas, baby! Different packages are available for this great event and prices at Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp start at $299 for a few hours up to $5995 for the four-day camp. Can’t bring your own paparazzi? No problem. The Follow Me service from RFCC is available for $499 and for 30 days following the camp, to capture every nuance from the time you come in through the big performance and will provide a website for you and a disk of images of your moment in the sun.

Don’t have time for the four-day event? Then you can opt for the Rock Star for a Day program at the studio on Harmon Avenue. This is a great chance to unleash the passion you have inside you.
