People really don’t care whether the chicken or the egg came first. They just want both to be mouth-watering when they are served. If anyone knows about cooking, Bellagio does. Elegant dishes that are not only delicious but also well prepared and presented beautifully are what the chefs at Bellagio do best.

With their Executive Chef’s Culinary Classroom, you can learn how to prepare some of these fabulous dishes for yourself. The monthly hands-on demonstrations by Executive Chef Edmund Wong and his talented team at the Tuscany Kitchen teaches a small class of up to 15 eager students how to prepare an amazing three course meal, and in the process, he shares some handy cooking secrets. In addition, one of the Bellagio master sommeliers or expert mixologists selects the wines or other drinks that will perfectly match this amazing meal. Cameras above the stovetops and prep areas broadcast over a 60-inch plasma screen and will keep you from missing any of the nuances.

These exciting classes are held once a month. The chicken and the egg are scheduled for August 27. Sept. 24 is “Farm to Table” day, using organically produced products and fresh herbs. You absolutely don’t want to miss the lesson on Oct. 1. It’s chocolate class, where you can learn how to prepare a perfectly decadent chocolate. If Thanksgiving is one of your favorite holidays, then the “Harvesting Thanksgiving” class on Nov. 19 may be the perfect class for you. It’s always a good idea to learn an easier way to make this enormous family meal. The only thing better is when your family and friends can’t stop raving about the wonderful food.

In these classes, you will have your own personal perfectly prepped cooking station stocked with everything you need to make your appetizer, main course and a luscious dessert. Chef Wong will lead you, of course, step-by-step while his able assistants prowl the room to offer suggestions or answer questions. After each course is ready to serve, you get to have a taste testing and, as a bonus, go home with a Tuscany Kitchen apron and recipe card as a souvenir of your culinary talent.

Classes are held throughout the year and cost $125, all-inclusive. Show times are at 7:00 p.m. You can purchase tickets by calling the Bellagio Concierge at 866-906-7171.
