You have to love Las Vegas! It offers literally dozens of ways to get from casino to casino and shopping mall to airport; from bikes and scooters to Segways, walking tours, public buses and tour buses, monorail, shuttles, and trams.

The trams are complementary, and they offer a “backyard” view of the Strip hotels from above. The Mirage-Treasure Island tram runs from 7 am to 2 am every day, leaving approximately every 15 minutes, and taking only 3 or 4 minutes to go from the Mirage to TI. At the Mirage the stop is outdoors in a shaded and misted area just north of the entrance. At TI, you wait behind gates indoors near the entrance to the parking garage.

The Bellagio/City Center/Monte Carlo tram runs from 8 am to 4 am every day, leaving every 7 minutes and lasting from 2-6 minutes. You will find the entrance in the Bellagio Spa Tower, on the next level. The entrance at Aria Resort is outdoors just past Beso restaurant. The exit at the Monte Carlo is in the Street of Dreams shopping center.

The tram from Mandalay Bay to the Excalibur is different coming than going. It is only 3 minutes to Mandalay Bay from the Excalibur…a direct non-stop trip. It runs from 9 am to 10.30 pm. Going back the other way it takes about 7 minutes, with a stop at the Luxor before going to Excalibur. You will enjoy waiting at the Luxor stop, as they provide music. The all-stop tram doesn’t start until 11 am.

The many forms of transportation here in Las Vegas may sound confusing, but all the hotels will have schedules for the various means of getting from place to place. All you have to do is ask…and carry a map of the city!
