If someone in your family loves NASCAR, then you will be glad to know that the Las Vegas Motor Speedway offers a remarkable selection of driving experiences so you can kick your adrenaline up to top speed and feel what it is like to be a professional race car driver. You will be reaching speeds of up to 155 miles per hour as you whiz around the track with a professional instructor in a 600-hp 4-speed transmission NASCAR race car.

If you don’t want to drive but want to experience the rush of a high-performance race car, the popular ride-along packages are also available. You do not need any experience. Participants are equipped with a driver’s suit, goggles and helmet and driving suits are available in all sizes up to 4X. Although there are no height or weight restrictions, keep in mind that these cars do not have doors so you must be able to climb through a 15″ high by 30″ wide window that is elevated about 36″ above the ground.

Participants must be at least 16 years old with valid driver’s license. Ride-alongs must be at least 14 and accompaniment by a parent or legal guardian is required for everyone under 18. There is a grand stand where family and friends can sit to watch the action and film your exciting NASCAR run with their cameras and video recorders. This would make an amazing gift for the NASCAR lover in your family.

The Richard Petty Driving Experience is available in the following packages so you can pick the best one. The ride-along program normally operates 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and there are some night only dates. The Driving Experiences require reservations in advance.
